My name is Sergiu Popovici and I am a professional computer software developer, with more than 20 years programming and more than 10 years management and leading experience.
My results speak themselves about the quality of the work I can do. At the age of 12 I ranked 3rd in a regional coding contest and while being at high school I reached the 4th place in a programming contest on national level. In 1999 I became official sendmail contributor, by cooperating in correcting a security issue. I am proud, that my name is listed till today in the releases of sendmail.
I would here like to stress the fact that I am a quick learner permanently trying to find out more of the field I work in and having a great adaptation capacity to different kinds of people and situations. I acquired with the time a vast knowledge of programming and also of managing projects and situations.
As personal assets I can state: self-reliance, synthetically and analytical skills, people orientated, able to work equally as a team player or individually, imagination and creativity, previous experience in working with people.
I am dealing with management positions even since 1999, when I had to run a branch of Store Communication, an Austrian company doing the software development part in Iasi. While working for them, we did projects for top companies, one of them being shown on CNN in 2000.
My abilities in managing projects and teams have been proven while I worked for Softconstruct GmbH as team leader, until 2005. In the meantime, I finalized my Psychology studies, improving this way my knowledge and the already acquired know-how.
Being consultant and CEO at Internet Technologies, I could make the teams working on projects for well-known Romanian companies. I’ve been involved in the entire process, from offering and dealing contracts to the technical management part and delivery of products.
Even if the faculty I attended is called “Psychology Faculty”, I did study a lot of business-related classes, such as organizational psychology, management of human resources, engineering psychology, advertising’s psychology and social psychology, which contains a lot of courses that can be applied in management and people’s understanding. I consider this as building myself for a better business or technical manager. The Master degree in Human Relations and Communication gave me a better understanding of business models and human interactivity.
